Oleksandr Usyk is an undefeated undisputed world champion, having conquered first the cruiserweight division and then the heavyweight division. His record is 24-0. He has defeated Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, and Daniel Dubois. The Ukrainian will voluntarily defend his WBC belt.

Rico Verhoeven is the Dutch "King of Kickboxing", who held the Glory heavyweight championship belt for 12 years. The 36-year-old athlete, standing 196 cm tall and weighing about 120 kg, has a significant physical advantage: he outweighs Usyk by about 20 kg. Verhoeven himself is convinced that one accurate punch can change the outcome of a fight.
